EMOTIONAL VALUE. STOP thinking ONLY about what your product can give RATIONALLY, START thinking about what your product can give EMOTIONALLY.
As i mentioned earlier, research proved that more than 50% of purchase decission is made by emotion first THEN LOGIC ADJUST TO THE DECISSION. I'm sure u want an example by now. Here's one example: Why do you think, nowadays, Toyota Vios can NOT sell as good asother sedan? Rationally, you have all the reasons to get this good sedan. Go compare! with that price, its definitely worth the pricetag! But why the hell arent they selling well?Cause emotionally, people think: 'TAXI' Get it? Look at the brands that TAXIs are using. Any of them still selling well today?
Example 2:know EVIAN? have u tasted it? any different with AQUA, which cost a LOT LESS? exactly. But how can EVIAN still sells well and evengrowing? you know why.Now that you're getting more understanding bout this method, here's Example 3:Samsung Plasma TV sells the highest in the world! A korean brand! Itbeats SONY, TOSHIBA, etc, far far far away. Why? The answer, go compare their ads. While other brands talking about how good their resolutions, colors, etc. Samsung didn't even TOUCH those issue.Their ads simply AROUSE the EMOTION of 'How would it FEEL to have acool designed Plasma in your apartment 'EMOTIONAL VALUE is a value that you can put into your product so that people based their decission on 'feeling' or 'emotion' first then the logic will try to adjust to agreement.
Example of how this works in people's mind: EMOTION: I want to have a Plasma TV ,LOGIC: But I already have a big TV, EMOTION: But when my friends come to my house, they'll see how cool and 'rich' and 'trendy' i am. I'll have something to brag and make the house looks beautiful. LOGIC: And now its getting cheaper! I dont have to spend much. I can pay monthly with credit card with 0% interest! And i think its ok to spoil myself once in a while. I've worked hard to earn money, i need to spend it sometime. And it saves some space instead of a big fatTV. And i promise i'll save more money after i buy the plasma.
See how the logic adjust to ur emotional decission? Think about it. Memorize, im sure u have at least 1 product that you buy with emotion decission first then logic comes next to support.
